Altis Telemetry Convertor - for Futaba & FrSky
Description
It interfaces the Altis V4 or Altis V4+ to the telemetry port of Futaba and FrSky receivers, so the pilot can see/hear the height etc info on the ground, via his telemetry equipped tx/rx 2.4GHz link.
Comes with standard RC input and output leads, and an RC to Molex convertor lead.
Note this device does not support the latest FrSky TD-R10 receivers or the Futaba 18SZ transmitter.

As always, service was prompt and I received my order without any hiccups. I managed to configure the GPS and FF Telemetry converter to work correctly between my FrSky Ethos X20S radio and an X8R receiver without any problem. It is important to configure the FF from the Altis Flight Manager to have the correct settings to work with an FrSky radio. However, I am experiencing some difficulty with getting the FF Telemetry converter to work correctly with a TD-R10 receiver. I configured channels 8 and 9 to be "S-Port" channels but when plugging in the FF to either of these channels I get erratic behaviour. Some of the Telemetry sensors appear e.g. GPS coordinates, Vario speed but others do not appear such as GPS height. The radio continuously reports "Sensor Lost" and there little or no updating of data happening. This only occurs with the TD-R10 receiver which makes me think that there is some compatibility issue with these new Tandem receivers. If anyone has managed to get the GPS +FF to work with a TD receiver I would be interested to know.
I give this product 2 stars, but that’s no reflection on Hyperflight. Aerobtec advertises that one can get the F5J height from its Altis. To interface to my receiver they recommend this converter. . Unfortunately for me it does not do that, though other height data is available. Aerobtec were of no help, stating that they knew there was a difference between the published data and the products use, but it was too much trouble for them to publish this. I now have a useless converter. Anyone want it cheaply?
Ottimo accessorio per convertire i dati telemetrici. Hyperflight sempre al top.
Seeing that some do not get the device to work with the futaba T18SZ, want to add that it works perfectly without any problems with T18SC!
I have the same problem as Lars-Eric.
The telemetry converter does not work. I can not make it show any values at all, whatever I try on my Futaba 18sz
Nice product, light, small and easy to install.
Works fine on ma futaba T18MZ.
Delivery was fine but the telemetry converter does not work. The transmitter will not register the devise no matter what I try.
There is no marking on the device saying that it is an Altis Telemetry Convertor - for Futaba & FrSky and not for any other brands, so maybe I got the wrong device.

After a long wait the football ( and FrSky ) users can use the telemetry features of the Aerobtec devices. Works as advertised, i just had some problems getting the GPS to work. At the end i found out that i forgot to save the changes i made on the GPS's com interface ...
Happy and delivered as usual, so no complaints whatsoever!
This Product works fine. But you must use altis flight manager. To start it.
For example altis gps and the converter.(that i have)connected to flight manager and the computer via usb
just connect gps and converter put in usb to your data(i have taranis x9d) look at com frsky+converter press save settings. done. Then it works
