18.5mm - 7.5mm x 0.88m Tapered Carbon Boom

This boom is ideal for lightweight low drag tail booms, especially for discus launched gliders (DLG), small electric, F3-RES and FF models.

High quality wound carbon epoxy tapered boom. Ideal for wing spars and low drag tail booms in RC, F3-RES and FF gliders and DLGs. This boom is the best fit for the Super Topsky DLG pod.

This 88 cm long lightweight carbon fiber boom tapers from 18.5 mm diameter to 7.5 mm diameter, with a wall thickness of 0.3 mm. It is made from high modulus carbon fiber wound onto a tapered form, encased in an epoxy matrix, and cured at high temperature. This high quality carbon boom (hollow tapered tube) is extremely rigid and strong, yet only weighs 18.5 g.

These composite carbon fibre booms will be sent in a rigid cardboard postal tube by courier. This increases the delivery cost, but they cannot be sent by regular mail as they are over the 90 cm maximum length.
