GM 16x10 Folding prop blades
Description
These blades are thinner (they have a higher aspect ratio) than normal folding propeller blades, allowing larger diameter blades to be fitted without pulling too much current. This increases the propulsive efficiency of the powertrain. They are also engineered to fold closer to the fuselage, and cause less drag when folded than other props. See photos 3 and 4 for a visual comparison of GM, RF and Aeronaut props, kindly produced by Andre Jeber Demetrio.
Note this product consists of two carbon propeller blades only. The central spinner/yoke assembly is not included. Also it is common for prop blades to not fit all spinner/yokes perfectly as supplied. It is often necessary to reduce the width the blade root slightly to ensure free folding movement. Also the cut out in the spinner cone often needs to be increased to allow the blades to fully extend. The root of the blade should not touch the spinner cone when the prop is fully opened.

Hyperflight made wide range of these great props available to us.
The GM props very nicely fit to the fuselage of modern F5J or F3G models. and the diameter/ pitch range makes possible to find the optimum setup for your model/ motor combination. Just superb.
I used this prop for Tahmazo IR-282544 motor.
5100rpm 30Ah This prop has done enough work with this number.
The finish is more beautiful than Reisenauer.
The props arrived very quickly even though they had to travel across the pond. Items were packed well and securely. Thanks Neil and the Hyperflight team!
My 3.5 Maxa is powered by a Hacker A20 6XL 4:4 gearbox.
Previously I'd fitted it with a GM 16 x 8 Prop. That setup pulled 398 watts and sat almost perfectly to the fuselage when the prop was folded. I was surprised that the 16 x 10 prop only pulls another 30 watts, That's useful but I could do with a little more. Disappointingly it doesn't sit on the side of the fuz anything like as nicely as the 16 x 8 so only 4 stars for this one.
Excellent propeller. A lot less drag than Aeronauts, very light, fits very close to the nose. Perfect for ALES planes
