Description
The MKS HV6160 is an ultra-powerful wing servo and is the latest servo from MKS aimed at the F5X and F3X large gliders, electric models and jets. It has mounting lugs suitable for wing (or tail surface) mounting. Despite only weighing just 8g (33%) more than the HV6130 is has well over twice the torque and considerably more robust than the HV6130. It is rated for operation down to 4.8V making it safe for use on 4 cell NiMH batteries and up to 8.4V making it fine on 2S LiPo batteries also.
The HV6160 is ideal for triangle racers, high performance scale models, hotliners, jets and all models that require excellent precision, massive torque, and adequate speed. It is possibly the best 10 mm thick servo produced so far. It looks beautiful and with a torque of up to 18.6 Kg cm it is amazingly powerful.
The MKS hallmark CNC aluminium alloy case adds rigidity and crash resistance to the servo. The gears are pre-loaded to remove all slop or backlash from the geartrain, allowing a level of precision unequalled by other manufacturers.
The extreme reliability and performance of these servos also makes them very suitable for use in film and motion picture industry special effect departments. They are also used in robotic, drone, UAV, UAS, academic research, military, and other highly demanding applications.
