Oralight Transparent Red 31-029 Covering Film
Description
This is the ultra light weight covering from the makers of Oracover, Oratrim & Easycoat. It has all the benefits of Oracover (also known as Profilm) but it is much lighter, and is very suitable for electric RC models and R/C gliders. Also known as Oralite Transparent Red.
This covering material has a heat-activated glue rear coating, and should be applied with a modeling iron set to 90°C to 120°C for tacking the sheet in place, and 150°C for shrinking. See P29 of the Oracover Product Info flyer for some good application instructions.

Really great product and great company to buy from
So far I’ve covered the tail feathers in Oralight, it’s easy to use and forgiving especially when Orastick is used in likely problem areas. The thinners were used to thin down a part empty gloopy tin of Orastick. It was very effective. Very pleased with both products (did “exactly what it said on the tin”) and super service.
Excellent product - light and strong. Very expensive, of course - but I knew that. Very good service from Hyperflight.

I bought this because I had seen it on another superb RC glider. I have stripped of the tissue and am now in the process of recovering in film, which is a first for me. Highly recommended.
My first choice of lightweight covering for a new build glider, having used it previously to cover my Samba RES Evo. Whilst not the most accomplished model finisher my first results with it were more than satisfying. I did find that using a purpose made covering iron sock was beneficial when using it to cover balsa sheet areas as it prevented edge pressure lines from developing. Perhaps though this is down to me and a lack of practice using it, as they say practice makes perfect.
I can only voice what others have also written about Hyperflight' s service which is second to none. Even during the Covid 19 crisis the items ordered arrived very quickly and were extremely well packaged. So thank you.
