Dualsky SUMMIT 60 SLIM 6V SBEC ESC
Description
The Dualsky SUMMIT 60 SLIM is very small - sized just 42 x 17 x 7 mm and only weighs 33g inc cables making it very suitable for competition electric gliders. The 17g Special Edition version shown in some of the photos is not currently available but is just the standard version with the motor leads removed. We reccomend this is done and the motor is soldered direct to the ESC if weight saving is a high priority.
The speed control is supplied with the brake ON, so no programming is required for glider use.
Telemetry is supported using the KIS 24A protocol and is output to a blue wire next to the RC plug. The data output includes:
Temperature - degrees C
Volatage - V
Current - A
Rotation speed - electrical RPM - divide by motor poles/2 to convert to mechanical RPM.
Like our acclaimed HyperFlight ESCs this Dualsky ESC uses BLHeli-32 firmare. This makes it very efficient and thus small. However it also means that a PC and an Aurdino Nano or a BL Heli USB Programming Interface is reqired to program it, if required.
Due to current supply issues these speed controls have been loaded with a developement version of the firmware and needs a special version of the the programmer called BLHeliSuite32Test. Please download the .zip file from here, unzip it and run BLHeliSuite32Test.exe to configure the speed control, if required.

This esc is basically plug and play works great.
Thanks Neil
Fantastic for small fuselages , all works as expected, BUT after emailing Dualsky and Frsky I get a big blank on how to connect the telemetry to an an Archer plus Rx, such a shame.
Great esc size great performance great yes I really rate this esc this is my second and I will not hesitate to order more if required Great service as usual many thanks
This is a great esc size performance etc great esc many thanks
Not used yet, however unit was as advertised and great service from HYPERFLIGHT.
This is my third one . Great esc for my F5J model's . Excellent service as usual from Neil and the Hyperflight team.
Used the esc in a comp. soon after purchase and it works well driving a dualsky motor. Small size fits in fuselage easily with space to spare. As usual great service from Neil. Braking seems a bit hard, really needs to be toned down but I haven't sorted out how to change the paramaters of the esc. yet.
Well, I haven't flown it yet, as winter came fast and hard here, but the thin size lets me use a larger battery in a tiny fuselage
I have purchased 2 of these had no trouble at all, very satisfactory.
Saved 10g in the nose and freed up lots of space :-) Works well with the X power light for F5J. Yet to test telemetry data but will get there soon enough. Programming was a bit fiddly (BL Heli etc.) but once the software was all setup the actual programming worked well.
Straight forward setup with Xpower Windy. Seems to be reliable. A very useable size for tight F5J nosecones. Not much more to say really.
this ESC is so neat and compact and much lighter than normal ones. would recommend for difficult installations. no issues so far in use.

Beautifully manufactured, small footprint, ESC. I have it in my Simitri F5J sailplane, paired with a XPower Windy motor and 11x6 carbon prop. It is running flawlessly. I also appreciate that all the connectors are already attached. Because I saved space and weight by using this beautiful little ESC, I was able to fit a larger capacity battery in the plane. Highly recommended!
