Blue Bird BMS-101DMG Servo - 1.0Kg.cm 0.07s 4.5g 8mm
Description
The 7.6 mm body thinness ensures the Blue Bird BMS-101DMG will fit in very thin wings, making it a great servo for 1m discus launched gliders and small slope soarers. Its light weight, high speed and great precision makes it well suited for F3P and other small aerobatic/3D indoor and outdoor RC models.
The BB BMS101 DMG is supplied with four output arms, mounting screws, optional mounting tape, and a fun sticker set. The large arm is 5 cm diameter (2.5 cm largest hole radius) making it excellent for F3P aileron control.
The Blue Bird BMS10DMG is in many ways similar to the Ripmax SD100, and is a good alternative to this servo for those using NiMH batteries or 1S LiPo batteries. Its main benefits over the SD100 and the Dymond D47 are its metal geartrain and digital controller, giving it greater toughness, holding power and resolution. For applications a 2S LiPo battery we recommend the HV version of this servo: Blue Bird BMS-101HV.

Purchased to go in the Mini Dart 2.
Perfect fit for the model
I too had centering issues on the ailerons, but after a bit of googling, I replaced the aileron pushrod outer sleeves with some tubes with a slightly wider inner diameter.
This reduced all friction and now centering is spot on.
Great customer service too.
These were recommended by hyperflight for the MD2 so I bought them. Centering is off so much that I have to make an aileron movement in opposite direction just to get the control surface back to center. I recommend that you DON'T recommend these servos to anyone else.
Servos arrivés rapidement fonctionnent parfaitement
Attention au taxes douanières à ajouter au prix merci le Brexit….
Pretty happy with this servo, gears are very tight.
Very good servos. Low torque but excellent 👌🏼 if you want to build light. Fitted in my 2m RES and are more than strong enough for all control surfaces including magnetically secured spoiler. If used on low voltage and on a spoiler the servo like a small run up before popping the spoiler open so leave some slack!
Have used these servos in other DLGs for 18 months. I really like them. Very small, durable, FAST, good torque, no tendency toward oscillation, no buzzing . I've used other BBird servos and like them all. Good company. I believe the quality and performance are similar to KST (except KST servos buzz).
Great little units. Good torque, and positioning is very precise - ideal for models with v.small ctrl movements. Also, working off a 1S lipo is ideal for the smaller models
Very small and seems to work well while being installed but as yet unflown.
Excellent little servo. Fast and centres very well.
Servo bought to replace a Dymond D47 that had failed. It is noticeably faster & centres well. Can’t really detect any slop. Haven’t flown it yet so time will tell but quite impressed at the moment.
Really small profile, fits well into the Big Vick and the Mini Dart 2.
Good strength with the metal gears. Excellent response times.
Bought a Hawk DLG ready-to-fly with four Blue Bird 1010DMG servos. Flaperons don't recenter by a few milimeters which make flying very unpredictable. Didn't want to be messing around with installing RC gear in what is a tiny space - need to get better quality servos to replace the flaperons
fit perfectly in my MD2. I recommand-it to every one for the quality.
I had a very demanding application for micro servos. They had to be extremely thin, very light weight, high quality and high torque. The BMS-101DMG was the only servo to meet all criteria perfectly. Hyperflight had better technical information than any other web site. Their price and service were excellent.
V.nice little micro servos. Just the job for small v.precise control movements (like Alula elevator) and quite robust (I haven't broken one yet). Only pricey if you compare them to the cheapy equivalents, and these don't even come close. Definitely recommend.
Servos checked out ok. Very rapid service as usual. Bought these to fit to my Mini Dart 2. Be aware if building this model that the servo alternatives quoted include the HS 40 -- these will NOT fit , they are too tall.
Flown more than 100hrs on a small slope model without problem.
Purchased for my Elf and have to buy something else to replace, because like many others the centering is terrible. Especially evident on the all moving tailplane. I will be using a pair of Gening D531MG servos instead as the ones I've used on another glider have excellent precision and centering. I'd also purchased a RTF Hawk that have the Bluebirds installed and it's shocking how bad they are, so I will be replacing all 4 servos with the Genings also. Somehow defeated the object of buying a RTF when it's not possible to fly it as built. I should have returned the Hawk immediately. Sorry I won't be buying any more Bluebird servos.
Great Servos! Very fast and good torque. Centering isn’t the best but does the job.
Probably the best compromise performance v.s cost for smaller models like the Alula. Have ordered more than 10. One was DOA and one had centering issues. The rest have been precise also after two seasons of use. Recommend, but if you need the ultimate in precision in this size, go for the KST X-06.
Excellent product and very good service from Hyperflight, in a matter of two weeks I had it in my hands, thanks to hyperflight
Good torque in a small package slim enough to fit inside the wing of a PuRES v2 for spoiler operation
I ordered 5 of these servos(1 spare) to use in a Stilleto Lift DLG. I had noted the comments re centering so I made a small degree quadrant and using the longest arm - found the centering accurate ,before and after bursts of auto movement - under no load conditions. Installed on the flaperons - the servos again accurately centred. However friction could be a problem and I was careful to eliminate this - watch for stiff live hinging and to much curvature in the pushrods.
I bought 4 servo, but 1 of them have a problem, he dont have the same course as another, at 2/3 of his way, he block.
Excellent product quality and superb service from HyperFlight again. Recommended

Tried my servo out today. I had a problem with the elevator trim wandering when using a cheap servo, my F3 RES glider would creep into a stall and over speed in the same flight at the same trim. This super little servo has solved that problem and suddenly the model can be trimmed to a consistent slow speed and now defies gravity like those amazing HLG videos we see.
Packaging excellent and arrived within 2 days. Thx Hyperflight
Bought these servos to put in a Schloilderding, the arrived very quickly and were well packaged. They are truly tiny servos, as yet I haven't fitted or tested them. BTW I love the Schloiderding which was a birthday present from my sons!
Was delivered very promptly and product was exactly as described

Great little servo which I am using on the ailerons of my 1.3m scratch build dlg. They seem to last through strong throws so far. Centering could be slightly better but the size, strength and prize is hard to beat.
Muy buenos servos, digitales y piñonería metálica para aplicaciones de DLG-F3K.
Nice little servos, a masterpiece of design packaging. Very quiet gears and virtually no backlash there. But there is some play in the top bearing which does translate to a small amount of dead travel when under load
I bought two servos and they were okay with the first starts. After a number of hours of use, one servo gives backlash with regard to the correct position.
It is a pity .... the servos are very nice for the rest.
Brilliant service as usual from this awesome company. had an issue with 1 of 4 sevos and was sent another servo immediately no questions asked...Cant recomend these guys enough. A pleasure to do business with on many occasions now.
We bought this for an industrial robotics application having never considered "hobby" components previously, but given it had a full metal drivetrain we thought it would be worth a try. It exceeded our expectations. Especially surprising was the almost non-existence of backlash in the output gear. If we had one wish it would be that this servo be made with a magnetic encoder rather than the analogue potentiometer that is fitted at present as this would allow more than the existing +/- 60 degree stroke, which we see as the only functional disadvantage at present. Another request from industry would be to place a small transverse hole through the output shaft so we can fix the rotational orientation of our output gear (we do not know how to machine the female spline shape into our gear so we have no way at present to positively lock position to the shaft). There could be a good market for an "industrialized" version of this sevo given a few modifications.
As usual everything is great. These are very good little servos.
Fast servo, and absolutely tiny. Complete package with screws, different control horns and double-sided tape. Packaging could be reduced for less waste.
So far the servo's are working excellently in my Dart DLG. Satisfied.
Great little servo, used in a stiletto lift. With those big flaperons this little fella has no problems. And kit of arms and screws should do any install. Recommended.!
I put this servo in a K3000 glider for Ruder and Elevator and I thought it was small for the 1.3 kg of the plane, but it behaves very well.
Great little servos no issues/ Hyperglight great as well
Good servo, fast and appear to be centering well. Running at 5volts. In the ELF Should do nicely.

brilliant little servos. absolutely ideal for a small DLG
Firstly this is not a criticism of hyperflight whose focus and service I’ve found second to none .
Decided to revive my dlg and the previous servo was starting to glitch. Thought this would make a good interim, how wrong.
Only operated correctly in one direction, the other would vary between full movement and half movement. The service would continue to move slowly for seconds after the stick was centred.
Sadly a poor experience with this product
A1 service and shipping, goods arrived well packaged in a sturdy cardboard container. Untried. Hard to believe the small size and low weight, specs as described. Looking forward to installation. A bit dear.
Excellent servos. Super service from Hyper Flight as usual.

I love this service! Dollar for dollar you can't beat it for DLG / F3K gliders. Killer centering, plenty of torque and fast. 5 stars definitely. Have bought 10+ and happy with every one.
assez deçu par ces petits servos. pour un f3K le neutre est pas terrible et il manque du couple pour les ailerons
I have 4x of these in a Hawk DLG that I recently purchased. No complaints regards performance, they run fine on a 1S lipo, seem to centre well etc.
Only down side is that they are a bit expensive when you're used to paying $5-10 for a digital servo from Asia.
Works well as a replacement for the Dream Flight servos in a Libelle. The original took some moving and the existing extension lead needed to be moved slightly to cope with a slightly shorter servo lead. The servo is a bit buzzy, which I gather is common. I haven't used digitals much yet.
V. small units and seem to OK for something that size. Good things - excellent on 1S Lipo pack as I haven't go thtem to brown-out yet. Bad things - (1) They do buzz a lot when at rest, which is probably not an issue but the noise can get annoying during long setup sessions! (2) They do not reliably centre e.g do a couple of full +/- stick movements and they do not entirely reliably go back to the same centre. However, for v.small metal-gear servos, they are OK
Put them in my Alula after a failed launch stripped the plastic servos I had in it. Haven't had any centering problems, it was a little difficult getting it to balance again but it works better than before now and the sensitivity on these is so much better than the analogs I had before (I kept one analog to give it a much needed rudder, already thinking of getting another one of these for that too).
I know it has the 5V warning but I've run them as high as 5.4V with no problem, and as low as 3.2V before they start getting the shakes.
I need to update the centering of this servo, actually its depend on what position it is. After trim, the centering will change, from 0.4 to 1.2 degrees of shift, depend on where it is. For your reference. D47 is better, always about 0.4 degree of shift.
Just bought one and working normal.
Compare to D47: Centering is a little bit better, but resolution is worse(cheap digital servo's behavior, sometimes moving smooth, sometimes jump a big distance).
Anyway, it's metal gear, feels no play and smaller size. Still need time to check its reliability.
Same experience as above. On is perfect, the other buzzes constantly even with no horn attached.
