32mm VM Pro Spinner for 6mm shafts

The VM Pro Spinner 32/6 Set for 8 mm root folding propeller blades is suitable for electric gliders requiring a 32 mm diameter spinner to fit 6 mm motor shafts. It has been optimised for the new range of Vladimir's Models folding prop blades, where it will allow exceptionally tight closing of the prop blades to the fuselage, reducing drag to the minimum. To facilitate this the yoke is smaller than usual, and will only accept the highest tech carbon blades with very small radii blade roots. From our preliminary testing VM Pro spinners work with most VM, GM and RF blades, but do not accommodate Vitaprop, Aeronaut or Graupner blades.

The spinner assembly consists of a black plastic spinner cone, a alloy CNC yoke (centre piece) and two polished steel hinge pins for mounting the prop blades. Like the VM HyperSpinner design the hinge pins are cleverly trapped in position by the plastic nosecone.

Note that like all folding prop spinners the plastic spinner cone often needs a little material removed to allow the blades to extend fully. This is not a structural concern. Also sometimes a little material may have to be removed from the root of the prop blade to allow full and free movement. At low power levels (less than 600W) it is usually safe to do this, but this is done at your own risk.
