Blue Bird BMS-101HV Servo - 1.2Kg.cm 0.06s 4.5g 8mm
Description
The 7.6 mm body thinness ensures the Blue Bird BMS-101HV will fit in very thin wings, making it a great servo for 1m discus launched gliders and small slope soarers. Its light weight, high speed and great precision makes it well suited for F3P and other small aerobatic/3D indoor and outdoor RC models.
The BB BMS101 HV is supplied with four output arms, mounting screws, optional mounting tape, and a fun sticker set. The large arm is 5 cm diameter (2.5 cm largest hole radius) making it excellent for F3P aileron control.
The Blue Bird BMS101HV is in many ways similar to the Ripmax SD100/Dymond D47, and is a good alternative to this servo. Its main benefits over the SD100 and the Dymond D47 are its greater speed, metal geartrain and digital controller, giving it greater holding power and resolution. For applications not using a 2S LiPo battery we recommend the two LV versions of this servo: Blue Bird BMS-101DMG and Blue Bird BMS-101AMG

Great wee servos for 2metre models, 4 of them in my 2M ELI from Hyperflight. They fit and work well.
I picked up 4 of these little metal geared servos for a new DLG I've been building. They are smaller, and about half the price, of a Kst-06, so that makes installation in a small nose much easier. They seem to center very well, and are capable of running on my 2S Lipo. I will be using this servo in my next build.
Great small servos. Can use with Li-po and they are metal gear. Used in multiple planes without issues. Highly recommended.
A nice little servo, bought to replace one of the same type which had developed inaccurate centring after a rough life. Not up to KST standard, but good for the price.
Tried the BB 101HV servos in my Mini Dart2. They are very compact making them a good fit for a small DLG. Centering is ok but not great as you might expect from an economical servo; however, the centering is good enought for my MD2.
Small and light server format. Very precise and the 1.2 Kg strength is great for more rigid push rods and sleeve use.
Small digital servos for using with 2S Lipo. They have been fitted to operate gear doors on a turbine aircraft and do an excellent job. They are tiny but powerful for their size.
These servos are very well made and reliable. Very small and light. I’ve used them on Elf and Pug gliders, with 2S batteries.
Light but strong servo which works very well with spring tension rudder and flap control. Metal gears ensure good lifespan of the servos.
Nice little servo, gear train is robust and the price is right. I treat them rough on a wingeron slope soarer. After a beating the top bearing gets a bit sloppy and the output can slide on the shaft. This still requires a lot of force and won't be a problem if you aren't regularly digging your plane out of the side of the hill. Yet to burn one out or strip a gear.
I got this to fit in my Orlandoo Hunter 1/32 scale rc trophy truck (OH32X02), just required a little training on the truck chassis, but fits perfectly and being metal geared, it’s much stronger than the stock servo.
Excellent - top quality. Bought to use with 2S
havent used them in anger yet.
Just the job to fit in my BOO German ultra small slope soarer using a 2s lipo
Just the job to fit in my BOO German ultra small slope soarer using a 2s lipo
Ordered two of these for an extremely narrow fuselage and are perfect for the job. Useful for 2S operation too. Excellent service and many thanks.
Bought 4 of these for a Stiletto being converted for the slope in light to med winds so I can run on 2s without a BEC, they seem ok but do seem to get hot even on the bench when checking the programming. Time will tell.
Great little servo that is the only adequate replacement I could find for a reasonable price to handle 2s battery, and replace a Ripmax SD100. Size is a little smaller, and it seems about as powerful so it's perfect for the job (rudder on a Flitz 2 DLG)
excelent service I use this servo for my servo diskbrake produktion used in turbine jets and it fits perfect.
I don't get too concerned if a supplier occasionally has a product that isn't as good as expected. I would be concerned if they didn't fix it when asked.
In my case Hyperflight fixed it without me asking for a fix!!! Absolutely superb attention to customer satisfaction. I wasn't expecting a replacement part, but Neil spotted I had an issue and sent one anyway!
I bought four, needed two. One failed during the install, which may have been to to binding on the covering slightly. It overheated very quickly. The replacement seem to have variable travel, and I've had to readjust the throws many times.
These servos is highly recommended. Just buy them if you are going to set up a small DLG like the Hawk. They are strong, fast, light and runs on a 2S lipo.
Great little servo, got these for my Shaka slope soarer, they centre well. Put 2 of these in my pulsar 2.5 tail for rudder and elevator and have performed perfectly for the last 2or 3 years without any problems and as always great service from Hyperflight.
I was very disappointed with these servos
I ordered 4 for my ERES
1 failed prior to installation and now another one has failed on the planes maiden flight.
Excellent product at a reasonable price and exceptional service from hyperflight.
I would highly recommend them for all your needs.
Bought 6 of these mini servos for a Horesji Geronimo 2.5m. Perfect fit & quite responsive.
These are the best I've tried. No noise, very low power draw. Fit and forget.
Great servo at a reasonable price. Accurate and fast in action
Great servo at a reasonable price. Accurate and fast in action
I have several of these in regular use without problems. For the economical price, sound metal gears and the ability to run directly on 2s lipos . This voltage also gives a useful increase in torque and speed.
tres mauvais retour au neutre.La linéarité n'est pas acceptable.
Great little servo. I’ve ordered multiples of this servo and never had issue with them. Super light, super small and super torque. Though more expensive than other options it is well worth putting quality, reliable components in to your aeroplanes. Super despatch and packaging.
I purchased 4 of these little servos, they are really tiny, but powerful for their size. I haven't used them in my model yet (going to use them in a voodoo), but initial testing of the servo's seem all good. I think they are good value for the money. Great speedy service from hyperflight.
I used two of these in an Elf, having previously used two, together with D100s, in a Sapphire electro glider.
All have performed well. Power is enough for the larger model, and no problems have been apparent with centering. If you like using 2 cells they are a good choice IMHO.
Out of the 3 I ordered 2 worked okay and the other just did not run right from the beginning. As it had no smoothness to it's running I used as a spoiler servo. Once installed and under a small load, on a 7.4V system, one-by-one they all burnt out. Not good.
Great servo for the price had no problems at all I run on 2 cell LiPo with no bec.
Great packaging and fast delivery
Great servo for the price . I run mine on 2 cell LiPo with no bec . Work great good price . No problem at all . Great packaging and quick delivery as allways.
these servos work very well depending on the quality of your transmitter and receiver.
have another set ready to put in Elf dlg.
Fast / reliable service makes Hyperflight fun to deal with. Servo's work a treat.
2 servos for v-tail on Art-Hobby Zuni. One of the servos is behaving normal, the other is slow and sluggish. Reordered the same servos to see if problem reoccurs.
The gear train has several degrees backlash. You can see the output spline rock a little. They are small and light.
Pros: Impressively small, light and quick. Usually centre well but on the odd occasion not so.
Cons: Rough as guts.. far from a smooth servo. Resolution seems terrible, doing trims, you get nothing, then a large step.. One roughish landing has rendered one useless, it flutters at a certain position.
Overall still value for money as they are a $25 aus servo so you can't expect too much. I did expect better though..
Ordered 2 of these and one is not working hsve rmdiled seller to advise of this
very great servo!light, small,no getrain and powerfull
Very neat little unit, fitted in my Boom dlg 4 in the pod with room to spare. Good power good centering.
First time perfect.
After 5-6 months stop one after the other.
After 1 year: 1ok, 3 dead.
Have used these servos for over 2 years. They are great. I’ve used them in 1m and 1.5m scratch built DLG’s on all control surfaces. Also used them on 1.3-1.5m eRES. Reliable, good centering, precise and with ample torque. Light and small with high voltage capability. Would be a good addition if Blue Bird decided to manufacture an all metal gear, high voltage 101. ???
These are super little servos. I have used many of these servos in various installations: DLG; small power assisted gliders and spoilers on 1.5m E-Res. Great reliable performance for such a small, light servo. A perfect subsitute for Ripmax SD100. Dispatch and packaging is Neils usual exempler. Thanks.
Tiny, precise, powerful, lightning fast: what could be better at this price? Perfect for my yet-to-fly MadRES, where space is a little tight. And thanks again, Neil, for the superb service.
Good servo, like SD100(ripmax),but small size, flight test in progress
Bonjour
Prompt delivery as always, when they came into stock. Needed a small servo for a project with a small amount of room. Have not used as yet will follow up later.
The speed on 8v is just amazing. Quite string too, and hardly any slop and good centering. Good value and excellent servo. The power requirement is quite high and more than others, like Ripmax SD100 for example. I've use them for a F3P model on 2S.
I've bought multiples of these tiny little servos and they are brilliant. I think they represent goid value for money too. Great speed, centering and torque values. Dispatch and delivery 1st class.
Very good product. These servomotors are light little cumbersome and rapids. They seem very solid and have a couple being enough for a glider DLG. very satisfied with my purchase.
Thank you Régis.
Brilliant service from Neil, received the next day and fitted to my Elf Mini, perfect fit and superb quality, as it states centering is spot on.
Just bought one and another for normal voltage version. But seems I'm not lucky as this one's centering is very bad. There is about 3 times of shift distance while centering compared to the normal voltage version or D47.
Anyway, I'll buy another one to try again.
good smooth free running ,HV servo . Just right for DLG use.
I bought these servos to upgrade my homebuilt "Mimi" DLG from analogue to digital. I'm very impresseed with all aspects of the servo; size, torque values and that the servos will run straight off 2s lipo. Regarding Hyperflight service I am just as impressed. Many thanks.
Initial impression is great. Very smooth, centers well. I needed the HV capability to run on 2s lipo unregulated.
Excellent little servo. I have used it on my elf, so thank you for the advice. As soon as the battery is connected they centre and there is no play. I wanted to use a 2s lipo without a regulator. I would recommend these.
