10mm - 5mm x 0.88m Tapered Carbon Boom
Description
This 88 cm long lightweight carbon fiber boom tapers from 10.0 mm diameter to 5.0 mm diameter, with a wall thickness of 0.3 mm. It is made from high modulus carbon fiber wound onto a tapered form, encased in an epoxy matrix, and cured at high temperature. This high quality carbon boom (hollow tapered tube) is extremely rigid and strong, yet only weighs 12.1 g.
These composite carbon fibre booms will be sent in a rigid cardboard postal tube by Royal Mail.

Fantastic tail boom for my 1.6 meter slope glider. Extremely light weight with 0.3 mm wall but plenty stiff with 10mm diameter at the fuselage.

I received 5 of these light weight tapered carbon fiber booms. They appear to be very stiff for it's weight. I received them much sooner than expected from Hyperflight.
Shipped all the way to Sydney, Australia! Everything arrived safe and in excellent condition.
Very pleased with this carbon Fibre Boom. Although not as strong as the one its replacing it is strong enough for the very lightweight glider its going into. at 1/3 of the weight I can remove the lead from the front making the glider even lighter. This was the first time I had ever ordered anything from Hyperflight.uk so I really didn't know what to expect. I ordered the two 10mm carbon booms on July 24/16 and they were delivered to my door on Aug. 3/16. If I've counted properly, 10 days in total! Very impressive imo! Now I have the confidence to order one of their lovely DLG's in the near future! They have so many ships to choose from.....awesome!

Bought this boom for a scratch build 1m Dlg and can't fault it. Light weight, tapered with slight flex and great strength per gram properties. Delivered quickly in robust packaging.
Bought this to swap out my Libelle boom 'Left Hand' Bias from stock, and convert it to 'Right Handed' Launch Bias. Working very nicely so far, with direct rudder links and a little work to the tail components. Product is half the weight of anything else I've found so far.
