KST A08 V6 Servo - 3.2Kg.cm 0.09s 8.6g 8mm
Description
The KST A08 is especially good for ailerons on discus launched gliders, electric racers, and all models with thin flying surfaces. Despite being only 8 mm thick the powerful coreless DC motor and gearing provide good torque and high speed. The A08 can be operated from a voltage as low as 3.8V (1S LiPo) or as high as 8.4V (2S LiPo). KST servos have excellent geartrain machining tolerances, and this servo is completely slop free, and equal to products costing twice as much. Despite not having an -MG moniker this servo has metal gears, and is very tough.
The KST A08's high torque, good speed, and 8mm thinness make it suitable for many high performance glider, pylon racers and EDF applications. With up to 3.2kg.cm torque the KST A08 is appropriate for F3K, F5D, F5J, many types of high performance models. The accessories include three strong nylon output arms, two double sided, and one single sided, one of which is low profile. This means that when the servos are mounted one in front of the other the control rod of the front one won't foul the rear one.
The KST A08 V6 version is fully programmable using KST's new programming tools.
The extreme reliability and performance of these servos also makes them very suitable for use in film and motion picture industry special effect departments. They are also used in robotic, drone, UAV, UAS, academic research, military, and other highly demanding applications.

First time user of KST servos. Actually not supprised about the quality and performance, based on alot of reviews read. Buying more in the future.
Maidened my modified Tangent Kult yesterday. The modifications were made to the ailerons which used to be top-hinged, but are now centre-hinged to enable them to be driven directly by KST A08 servos. No pushrods! A 2 cell li-ion battery provides about 3Kg/cm torque.
The servos fit neatly between the wing.skins with about 1mm to spare, and the output shaft aligned as best I could manage with the hinge line.
Flew for the best part of an hour. No problems in flight, and two nice landings. Time will tell if the gear trains are sufficiently robust to stand this mistreatment.
Very good little servo!
I have used the small KST 08 servos for some years, now, beginning with the early series that had a reputation for failing - although I had universal good fortune. The servos I purchased recently from Hyperflight have gone into a special DLG, the likes of which I will never have a chance to fly ever again, and so I paid the current price. I am glad I did. Quiet, precise, good centering with either NmHd 4.7v or 2S LiPo 8.2v. Experience elsewhere has shown me that they will work fine with 1S LiPo as well. The only reason for four stars is the current price, which limits what I can afford. Gone are the days of adequate but still cheap servos. As always, Neil at Hyperflight met my purchase with prompt attention and quick delivery. Good on you, Neil!
Great little servos for use on a F5j V tail. Delivered in 26 hours. Excellent.

Great little servos for use on a F5j V tail. Delivered in 26 hours. Excellent.
Great specs for such a small servo. Plenty of power for F3X tails and open up different 'packaging' options in ever smaller fuselages.
