Oralight Transparent Violet / Purple 31-058 Covering Film
Description
This is the ultra light weight covering from the makers of Oracover, Oratrim & Easycoat. It has all the benefits of Oracover (also known as Profilm) but it is much lighter, and is very suitable for electric RC models and R/C gliders. Also known as Oralite Transparent Violet / Purple. This colour is known as both Oralight Transparent Purple and Oralite Transparent Violet.
This covering material has a heat-activated glue rear coating, and should be applied with a modeling iron set to 90°C to 120°C for tacking the sheet in place, and 150°C for shrinking. See P29 of the Oracover Product Info flyer for some good application instructions.

Aways used some cheap covering film up to now, which wrinkles and don't stay down for long.
Oralight went down really well and not many wrinkles which I was able to gently remove with iron and heat gun, a tad more expensive but will be my go-to covering film from now on.

First, a big thank you to Hyperflight for their super, next-day, service (as always). This was the first time I've used Oralight, so I was a little nervous about how easy it would be to handle. Sure, it is much lighter than Oracover but it's just as easy to apply to give a good finish. The film is quite tough and it is easy to cut with a v. sharp knife or scissors without tearing. Tacks down and shrinks extremely well using the temperature settings in the instructions!
I needed the covering for a wing repair on my Weston Cougar 200 and the colour was a perfect match. The item was delivered on time.
7 months of getting stuffed around in Australia trying to get this covering! Over 20 emails I've sent to Oracover in Germany with not the common decency of a reply! And 5 minutes on Hyperflight's website and it's done and dusted! Great covering but only purchased because of great service
