KST X08N V6 Lugless Servo - 2.8Kg.cm 0.09s 8.8g 8mm

Servos fit well in the tails of my 4m Enigma....had to shorten the connector a bit, but other than that, thumbs up all the way...as was the service!!

Had over 350hrs on the x08s that these replaced, aileron/flap servos work really hard on a dlg, I think getting that many hours shows how good the x08s are.

The KST X08s are excellent servos for DLGs but more importantly is Hyperflight's continued excellence in website design, clarity of product descriptions and simplicity of ordering. I live in the USA but order everything I can from Hyperflight. Kudos to Neil.

I have just finished my first DLG Snipe 2 glider.
I was a little concerned that the servos wouldn’t be strong enough to
handle the Movement needed.
Neil from Hiperflight had recommend them to me and I am happy to say they are more than strong enough to do the job.
Great bit of kit.
If you need any equipment Neil from hyperflight is the man to talk to he recommend several bits and he was spot on.

The source of the problem described below has been identified and it is caused by the motor coming loose in the case and slipping downwards causing the motor pinion to drop out of the gear train. See this link - https://youtu.be/HrQGWu3Ra74
The motor is held in with loctite and can be reglued. KST recommend loctite 496. Check your motors are secure particularly after a bit of a knock.

Using four of these in a Flipper. After a throw the rudder went hard over with the rudder torsion spring. After getting it down the rudder servo motor was running continuously and the output arm could be moved as though it was not connected to the gear train. Pulled the top off and the gear train was fine showing normal function. Put the top back on and servo works fine. This was a v5 servo.

This is the best servo with no compromises, precisious, metal, high power. Servos were delivered fast to Ukraine and packed good.

Thank you KST, you just cost me a not even 6 month old Snipe SN because of a sudden servo freeze on the elevator servo.
The servo freeze occurred just after launch and remain frozen until it was manually pushed back into position.

This was a X08 V3 servo. These have a reported occasional boot problem (one in a thousand) when powering-up. Always check the servos respond after switching on.

These servos are best for DLG. KST X08 are light, metal and High Voltage.
I use servos with 2S battery without BEC and direct connection to the receiver.

This little servo is very special and it is reasonably priced.

Probably the best dlg servo out there for the money. Been some issues reported recently so the factory revised the KST 08 servo and these are now fresh stock at Hyperflight.

I had no issues with the V3's previous and so far this latest revised V3 is work just as well as always, highly recommended servo all round in a dlg.

Received servos in good time however one was faulty (twitchy) so I had to send it back for replacement at my own expense with no offer of reimbursement so a bit disappointed.
Two out of three servo horns are next to useless very sloppy fit, at least the ones i needed were okay, servos have a little play in the gears not slop free but acceptable not sure I would recommend.

I know perfectly well how much 8mm is, and still it's amazing how small this servo is when you hold it. For its size the torque and speed is really good. I haven't had time to test it live since the plane is not ready yet. The servos will go inside a moulded stab and be connected to the elevator surfaces. Build quality of the servo seems to be top notch and the size allows for fully built in servos in even the thinnest of wings. A really nice product!

Replaces an X08 v2 that died.
I dropped it in the wing and was pleasantly surprised to find a slightly longer servo lead. Works as expected, and props for the wide voltage range.

Perfect fit for a Blaster 3. Their lack of lugs, flat sides and wires that exit from their bottoms allow them to be butted together for a straight, tight fit.
